Frequently Asked Questions

Q: HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
A: Call us at 1-306-347-2273 or 1-877-522-7464 and we can schedule an appointment for you with any of our counsellors. Emergency situations are considered on a case-by-case basis and are usually dealt with within 48 hours. You can also book an appointment directly from this website.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A: Our rates are $90.00 per one-hour session. Depending on where you work, you may have an assistance program such as Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) or an Employee and Family Assistance Plan (EFAP) that will pay for all or part of the fee. If that isn't the case, then you can discuss the cost with the Office Manager who will use a sliding scale based on a client's earnings. Please do not let cost prevent you from coming and getting the help that you need. Our first priority is to serve those who come to us with the love and compassion of Christ.

Q: DO YOU HAVE COUNSELLORS WHO SEE CHILDREN?
A: We do have a counselor who deals specifically with children. We often work with children, young adolescents and teens.

Q: DO YOU HAVE SOMEONE WHO DEALS WITH ADDICTIONS?
A: Yes, one of our counselors has a keen desire to work with individuals with addictions problems such as drugs and alcohol. He has completed two successful internships, one where he was counseling addicts at a rescue mission in Montreal, and the other, counseling at Addictions Services in Moose Jaw.

Q: WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY COUNSELLOR?
A: You can expect compassion, empathy, and a listening ear. You can expect transparency and directness when you ask questions about the counsellor's theoretical orientation.

Q: CAN I BE ASSURRED OF CONFIDENTIALITY?
A: Yes, all of our counselors abide by a professional code of conduct as stipulated by the Professional Association of Canadian Christian Counsellors (PACCC). A confidentiality statement will be read to you in the first session and which is signed by both the client as well as the counselor.
